Bundoran Star Angling
was formed in 2004 with the Purchases of a new purpose-built 33 foot
Lochin Sea Angling Charter Boat.
Patrick O'Doherty operates the Bundoran Star from Bundoran Pier and offers sightseeing
and sea angling trips in the
Donegal Bay area. With his boat a fully licensed purpose-built Sea Angling Charter Boat. He
offers a comprehensive range of services to support the sea angling leisure market
and the serious Sea Angler, ensuring that they will have a safe,
enjoyable, and memorable experience.
Patrick O'Doherty, The
Skipper of Bundoran Star, a member of
North West Charter Skippers Association
has spent many years as an inshore lobster fisherman and is a accomplished sea
angler.
He has all
the relevant qualifications including ISA Advanced Powerboat
Certificate, FETAC Navigation & Stability, VHF / DSC Short Range
Radio Certificate, First Aid and Personal Sea Survival Techniques
and licensed to
skipper a passenger boat.

A active voluntary
RNLI crewmember with the Bundoran Life Boat, attending
regular training in navigation, seamanship, first aid and survival
skills he has exceptional knowledge of
the Donegal Bay sea area.
A native of Bundoran
and a
serious boat angler he has good local knowledge of
the best fishing grounds
and been founder member of Bundoran Boat & Sea Angling
Club in 1992 he has been involved in the running of the very successful
deep sea angling competition
the Bundoran International Open Boat
in August each year.
Current services include:
• Two
hour trips for sightseeing and leisure angling.
• Three hour Evening Mackerel Fishing trips.

Boat Charter for day-long hire by clients.
•
Rod and reel hire are available on board with first cast
included and we also sell fishing tackle.

Angling tuition.
•
Tea / coffee and light refreshments are available on
board our charter boat free of charge.
